bluebells

 Bluebells
Currently: graphite; 6.5" x 8.5"

Our local art store (that actually carries GOOD art supplies) is closing it's doors at the end of the month after 30 some yrs in business. In honor of them, a few artists in town have organized a print exchange with the theme of "blue".

Thus, my bluebells.... I'll be converting the drawing to a solar plate and print the edition this evening. I'm excited to see how the edition looks. I plan on experimenting with a light blue/green chine collé technique on the main flower.

Lisa, your work is inspiring! Wish I could get to Port Townsend for the JournalFest. I'll start a piggy jar for next year. :)

Oh you should!! I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had last year, and am anxiously awaiting October already. :) It is wonderful to meet artist's face to face when the only previous contact you have is on-line.
